Cleaning mold between bathroom ceramics with chlorine bleach

Kitchen and bathroom tile grout gets dirty very quickly. Here’s a tip for cleaning your mold.

Not only is it unsightly, it’s also unhygienic. Fortunately, there is a simple method to clean them. Simply apply bleach to the joints with a paper towel and leave overnight.

Chlorine bleach

Household chlorine bleach (sodium hypochlorite) is the most effective at killing mold and removing any discoloration. Mix a solution of one cup of bleach to one liter of water, which can be sprayed directly on the mold. Note that bleach is quite harsh and it is important to dilute it before using.

Keep in mind, however, that while bleach will remove discoloration from mold, it will also remove color from most surfaces! Use it sparingly and, if in doubt, test it on a small, unnoticeable spot first.
