If you installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your mac, you probably realised it does not bring much added value, especially if you only need to view PDF, and it is extremely heavy. And now you regret it… So here is how to completely remove it.
Uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader on mac
Step 1. Remove the app
Go to Application folder, and remove the following files:
- Adobe Acrobat Reader.app
Step 2 Remove the Safari plugin
Go to Internet Plug-Ins folder, and remove the following files:
- AdobePDFViewer.plugin
- AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin
Step 3 Remove the background allowed items
Go to LaunchAgents and LaunchDaemons folders, and remove the following files:
- com.adobe.ARMDC.Communicator.plist
- com.adobe.ARMDC.SMJobBlessHelper.plist
- com.adobe.ARMDCHelper.cc24aef4a1b90ed56a725c38014c95072f92651fb65e1bf9c8e43c37a23d420d.plist
