On vacation, in a hotel, in a student room… here are 5 microwave recipes for emergency use or everyday use.
Microwave recipes
Microwave rice recipe
1 glass rice, 2 glasses water
Place in microwave for 10/11 mins. until water is absorbed. Do not stir rice while cooking (or before)!
Microwave pasta recipe
1 glass of coquillettes or falafels, 1.5 glasses of water
Microwave for 10/11 min. until water is absorbed.
Microwave potato recipe
You can cook your tubers whole, sliced or cubed. The important thing is to pour a small amount of water into the dish or place a glass of water next to it, otherwise your potatoes will be too dry.
Leave the skin on (remove imperfections if you wish)
prick the potatoes and add whatever you like: salt, oil, grated cheese…
Cook for 5 minutes at full power, then turn them over
turn them over and cook for a further 5 minutes (if they’re small, use 3 to 4 minutes).
Microwave salmon recipe
Microwaved salmon en papillote: ingredients
For 4 people, you’ll need :
- 4 salmon fillets
- 4 sprigs thyme
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 lemon juice
- salt and pepper
- 10 centilitres olive oil
Place cling film or parchment paper on a flat plate
Place the salmon steak on the cling film
Pour over the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, thyme leaf and bay leaf
Fold over the edges of the cling film and seal tightly, or use silicone foil.
Microwave for approx. 5 minutes at full power for 1 portion (cooking is individual).
Microwave omelette recipe
Beat whole eggs in a bowl, season to taste with salt and pepper, then add chopped parsley and chives.
Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe dish. Cook at medium power (600 W) for about 5 minutes.
At the end of this time, stir the omelette before cooking for a further 2 minutes at the same power.
